We are proud to announce that SEFHT becomes the official sponsor of the Italian national team for the 14th World Padel Championship in Paraguay, from October 29th to November 3rd. With this partnership SEFHT wants to contribute to the great world-class sporting adventure and continue its growth in the Italian market, accompanying the national team during the championship, where the Azzurri come from a good third place at the 2017 European Championships in Portugal, bringing Italy into the elite of European padel.
More than 320 of the world's best players come to Asuncion to surpass themselves and claim the title of champion. As communicated by the Paraguayan Padel Federation, we expect more than 120 matches a day in a very competitive week in which 19 countries participate and where 16 women's teams and 16 men's teams made up of 8 pairs meet.
Italian men's team : Andres Britos, Michele Bruno, Enrico Burzi, Daniele Cattaneo, Simone Cremona, Luca Mezzetti, Matias Nicoletti Altimari, Juan Manuel Restivo.
Women's Italian team : Chiara Pappacena, Giulia Sussarello, Sara D'Ambrogio, Valentina Tommasi, Alessia La Monaca, Francesca Zacchini, Carolina Orsi, Martina Camorani.
Matches start on Monday 29 October. In the first three days the group stage takes place which brings the best teams to the knockout table. Here the formula of the matches is "best of three games", during which the couple, who gets the most points first in two games, takes home the victory in the group or the passage of the round. And then, from Thursday 1 November, the quarter-final draw will be revealed. The finale of the World Padel Championship will take place on Saturday 3 November.
